Conestoga High School Leads PA with 50 National Merit Semifinalists

Conestoga High School continues to be one of the top-performing schools in Pennsylvania. In 2023, the school reported 50 National Merit Semifinalists — the highest number of any high school in the Commonwealth.

Each year, approximately 16,000 students nationwide are named National Merit Semifinalists, representing less than one percent of the country’s graduating high school seniors. Students qualify based on their performance on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).

These academically talented students will now compete for more than 7,600 scholarships offered through the National Merit Scholarship Corporation and its sponsoring organizations.

This achievement follows another strong year for Conestoga. In 2022, the school also led Pennsylvania with 47 National Merit Semifinalists. Read our earlier post here.

Congratulations to the students, as well as the parents, teachers, and staff who help make the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District one of the strongest public school systems in the region.
