Denial of Science-Good basis for decisions affecting Pennsylvania?
Recently the Senate voted on Senator Brian Schatz’s amendment – a simple statement of fact that says human activity significantly contributes to climate change. And Senator Pat Toomey opposed it. Does Pat Toomey know more about the climate than climate scientists?
Climate Scientists have reached a consensus on climate change.
When “scientific consensus” is referred to in relation to climate change, it’s referring to the following points:
- The earth is getting warmer
- The warming is mostly due to human activity
- If greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions continue, the warming will accelerate
Denying Science did not work in the 1600s when Galileo was put on trial. It will not work in the 21st century!
