A Better Approach to Policing
Policing is making headline news too often these days. We ask our police to be jacks-of-all-trades. We ask them to deal with a lot of society’s shortcomings. We shouldn’t be surprised that they sometimes fail. And while there are lots of reasons for advocating to improve policing, there are changes that can be made that would both provide better services to the people in need and reduce the stress on the police.
Please join us as we discuss how we have asked too much of the police and a better approach to addressing societal problems.
Due to COVID-19 social distancing protocol, the meeting will be held virtually. Anyone wishing to attend, please send an email requesting the link to Jerry Henige at jhenige@verizon.net. We will distribute the link to those who have requested it.
