Environmental Advisory Council (EAC)
Purpose
The Tredyffrin Township Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) advises the Board of Supervisors on environmental issues and initiatives affecting the township. The Council works to promote environmental stewardship, sustainability, and conservation efforts within the community.
What They Do
The Environmental Advisory Council researches environmental issues and funding opportunities, provides recommendations to Township staff and the Board of Supervisors, and supports environmental education efforts. The Council also partners with residents, outside agencies, and organizations with similar interests to coordinate environmental initiatives and projects that benefit the township.
Membership
The Environmental Advisory Council consists of seven volunteers appointed by the Board of Supervisors who serve staggered three-year terms. The Council also includes a Township liaison from the Parks and Recreation Board and the Planning Commission. A Township Engineer and a Township Supervisor attend meetings and participate in discussions.
Associate members are non-voting volunteers who serve one-year terms and are elected by the Environmental Advisory Council based on their interest and participation in its initiatives.
Meeting Schedule
The Environmental Advisory Council meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month, unless otherwise noted.
