Purpose
The Libraries Board of Trustees establishes policy for the Tredyffrin Public Library in Strafford and its branch location in Paoli. The Board oversees library operations and provides guidance on matters related to staffing, funding, and long-term planning.
What They Do
The Board of Trustees supports the mission of the Tredyffrin Public Library by ensuring that library services meet the needs of the community. The Board works with library leadership to guide operations, oversee funding decisions, and support programs and services offered to residents of Tredyffrin Township.
The library system receives the majority of its operating funding from Tredyffrin Township and also benefits from partnerships with Chester County and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which provide additional resources and services including interlibrary access and shared library systems.
Meeting Schedule
The Libraries Board of Trustees meets on the 4th Thursday of each month, unless otherwise noted. Meetings are typically held at the Tredyffrin Public Library.
