Planning Commission
Purpose
The Tredyffrin Township Planning Commission is a volunteer advisory body appointed by the Board of Supervisors. The Commission helps guide long-term planning and land use policy within the township.
What They Do
The Planning Commission is authorized to prepare, update, and oversee implementation of the Township’s Comprehensive Plan, Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance, and Zoning Ordinance. The Commission also reviews land development and subdivision applications.
Land development decisions made by the Planning Commission are final. For subdivision applications, the Commission provides recommendations while the Board of Supervisors retains final approval authority.
Membership
The Planning Commission consists of seven township residents appointed by the Board of Supervisors. Members serve four-year terms.
Meeting Schedule
The Planning Commission meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month, unless otherwise noted. Meetings are open to the public, and residents may attend and comment on matters listed on the agenda.
