Tredyffrin-Easttown Fire Commission
Purpose
The Tredyffrin-Easttown Fire Commission (TEFC) was established on December 15, 2025, by the Tredyffrin and Easttown Township Boards of Supervisors under the Pennsylvania Intergovernmental Cooperation Act (Act 77 of 1996). The Commission provides oversight and coordination of fire and emergency services serving both municipalities.
What They Do
The Fire Commission oversees the delivery of fire and emergency services for Tredyffrin and Easttown Townships. Its responsibilities include setting strategic goals, managing finances, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and providing leadership for the regional fire service. The Commission also appoints the Fire Chief, who manages personnel and daily operations.
Membership
The Commission consists of five members: three Supervisors from Tredyffrin Township and two from Easttown Township. Members are appointed by their respective Boards of Supervisors and serve one-year terms.
Meeting Schedule
The Fire Commission meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 3:00 PM, unless otherwise noted. Meetings are typically held at the Berwyn Fire Company, 23 Bridge Avenue, Berwyn, PA.
Parking at the fire station is limited. Visitors should avoid spaces designated for local businesses and instead park on nearby streets where permitted or in the nearby library parking lot.
