Zoning Hearing Board
Purpose
The Zoning Hearing Board hears appeals and requests for relief related to the Township’s Zoning Ordinance. Property owners may appeal decisions made by the Zoning Officer or seek variances, special exceptions, or other zoning relief through the Board.
What They Do
The Zoning Hearing Board functions as a quasi-judicial body that reviews zoning appeals and determines whether relief from zoning requirements should be granted. Its decisions are independent and are not subject to approval by the Board of Supervisors.
Zoning Hearing Board meetings are open to the public and are transcribed by a court reporter. Transcripts of each case are available for review at the Tredyffrin Township Building.
Membership
The Board consists of three members and three alternate members, all volunteer residents appointed by the Board of Supervisors.
Meeting Schedule
The Zoning Hearing Board meets on the 4th Thursday of each month, unless otherwise noted.
