Matt Holt for Tredyffrin Supervisor-At-Large
Matt has lived in Chester County for over 25 years, currently residing in Paoli with his wife Lauren and their 2-year-old son Truman. Lauren works as a public defender and was appointed to the Tredyffrin Libraries Board of Trustees in 2016.
Matt has served as in-house counsel with the Bryn Mawr Trust Company since 2015, where he focuses on fiduciary matters and compliance issues. Prior to that, he was an attorney with Fox Rothschild LLP, where his practice included litigation with an emphasis on family and criminal law, estates and commercial law. He has dedicated many hours to serving pro-bono clients throughout Chester County.
He graduated from the Penn State Dickinson School of Law. He is also a graduate of Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Affairs. He is a member of the Chester County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations. He participated in the United Way of Chester County’s Leadership Program. Matt is active in the Pennsylvania Society of Sons of the Revolution and St. Andrew’s Society of Philadelphia.
Matt is running to give back to our community, which has become the center of his family’s life, and to provide responsive government to all Tredyffrin’s residents. His priorities include supporting our law enforcement officers and our libraries, as well as smart-growth initiatives that will increase our tax base without negatively affecting our neighborhoods.
Matt is running for Supervisor-at-Large, along with incumbent Murph Wysocki.
Re-elect Murph Wysocki for Tredyffrin Supervisor-At-Large
Murph Wysocki was first elected Tredyffrin Township Supervisor-at-Large in 2013 and is a candidate for reelection in 2017. He and his wife, Lois, have lived in the Deepdale neighborhood of Wayne for 40 years. Lois taught biology and genetics at Radnor High School. Their daughter, Dana, attended T/E schools.
As a member of the Board of Supervisors’ Finance Committee, Murph has helped develop Township budgets that provided for the effective delivery of Township services without raising taxes. He serves as liaison or co-liaison to the Planning Commission, Libraries Board, Historical Commission and Pension Trustees Board.
Murph is working to keep our libraries fiscally and operationally strong.
He is working with local fire companies, other Tredyffrin supervisors, Easttown Supervisors and township management from both townships, on future funding alternatives in a cooperative effort to continue the high level of emergency services.
He helped lead the successful effort to hire additional Tredyffrin police officers. Our public safety is enhanced by the high quality of these services, and as a result, Tredyffrin ranks among the safest communities in Pennsylvania.
As a commercial real estate attorney with 40 years of experience in structuring and closing large transactions, Murph understands project budgets, financing, and what it takes to bring people together and get things done. He retired in 2012, after 25 years as a partner in the Real Estate Department at Saul Ewing LLP.
In his role as Supervisor, Murph has enjoyed immensely the opportunity to work with residents to solve problems and serve their needs. He appreciates Tredyffrin Township’s many strengths. Yet he believes we have not realized our full potential. “Local government should not only be expected to provide sound fiscal management and the effective delivery of basic services. Supervisors must govern with a view towards the future. For us, that includes smart management of our ongoing economic revitalization, which can improve our township’s tax stability, enhance property values, and help make our community an even more attractive place to live and work.”
Murph is a cum laude graduate of University of Pennsylvania Law School. He received his undergraduate degree with the highest distinction from George Washington University.
Kevin O’Nell for Tredyffrin Supervisor, Middle District
As a Supervisor candidate from Tredyffrin’s Middle District, Kevin O’Nell will bring to the Board a love and appreciation for our township and a strong commitment to keep it fiscally sound and moving forward as one of the premier communities in the Philadelphia region.
Kevin is an active member of our community. He and his wife, Jenna, are raising three sons who attend Hillside Elementary. Kevin is a leader within Cub Scout Pack 283 and a Sunday school teacher at Wayne Presbyterian Church. Raised in a family active in local government and a host family for numerous foster children, Kevin learned at an early age the value of compassionate community service and creating an environment in which all team members and citizens can thrive.
Kevin graduated from Davidson College where he majored in Political Science and was a member of the college’s Division I baseball team. While at Davidson, he volunteered in the Big Brother Big Sister Program and the Honor Code Review Committee.
Professionally, Kevin has spent his career building teams to create solutions that change industries. He began his career reengineering processes in paper mills for Sonoco before attending graduate school at the College of William and Mary, where he received an MBA from its Mason School of Business.
Kevin moved to the region in 2003 to work for Ecount, a Conshohocken-based venture backed company. As chief operating officer, Kevin led the company’s growth from a local company to the world leader in corporate electronic payments. After the firm was acquired by Citigroup in 2007, Kevin served as a Director until 2011, when he founded MissionOG, a local early stage venture capital firm invested in local technology companies. Kevin now leads one of the investments, PeopleLinx, which provides sales teams the tools they need to be successful in a digital world.
As a candidate for Tredyffrin Township’s Middle District Supervisor, Kevin brings an extensive background as a successful business leader to the operation of local government. He is committed to listening to your ideas and helping develop initiatives that will keep our community one of the best in the state – a welcoming place to educate our children, share time with our families and foster a quality of life that is second to none.
