Thank you all very much for your hard work in this past election. It was truly inspiring to see so many new faces at our November 28 meeting. The energy and resolve you expressed to get to work and hold our elected officials accountable are exactly the prescription we need to pick ourselves up and get moving forward again.
We are the opposition now. From a legislative standpoint, we can be thankful that the U.S. Senate does not have a veto-proof majority. At the state level, we can count on Governor Wolf to veto any extreme legislation like the bill that passed both the House and Senate in Ohio on Tuesday.
We have no time to waste. We must move forward, organize and fight back!
A number of you have expressed an interest in committing your energies and talents to help Democrats get elected in 2017, gear up for 2018, fight to preserve Constitutional rights and protections and a number of other issues.
