Pat Toomey Not Protecting Pennsylvanians

GMO Labeling

GMO_Labeling_worldwide3 states have passed laws requiring GMO labeling. More than 30 other states are debating whether to establish such laws. Pennsylvania has not passed a GMO labeling law, but Pat Toomey is trying to take away your “right to know”. Senators should represent people in their state not large corporations. Last week the Senate narrowly defeated Senate bill 764 to block state laws on GMO labeling.

A yes vote was to allow federal blockage of state and local GMO labeling laws.

Voting yes: Pat Toomey (R., Pa.), Thomas Carper (D., Del.)

Voting no: Robert Casey Jr. (D., Pa.), Robert Menendez (D., N.J.), Cory Booker (D., N.J.), Chris Coons (D., Del.)
