I’m running for PA Democratic State Committee to represent the concerns of our local communities, especially those serving on school boards. As Democrats, we believe in protecting our community’s health and welfare, we support our children in their freedom to express themselves, and we embrace diversity and inclusion because it reflects how our community looks. As a school board director, my experience and knowledge can play a vital role in raising awareness across the state to protect local communities from being taken over by radical Republican agendas.

My husband and I moved to Chester County 24 years ago to raise our children. I was an active parent through our Tredyffrin/Easttown PTO for ten years and served as PTO President for three years. As PTO President, I had a front row seat to the treatment of our residents by our local school board. I decided to run for local school board because I wanted to have a positive impact and bring more professional to the board. I’m in my second term and served the last two years during the pandemic as school board president. We all know how challenging these two years have been for us and our families.

However, never could I have imagined that our local school boards would become a focal point of partisan division against common sense public health and freedom of expression policies. The recent lawsuits to remove local school boards are part of a larger statewide and national campaign. My experiences would be beneficial to the PA Democratic State Committee as we work across the state to strategically address these attacks. The opportunity to network with other counties, who are or may be impacted by these attacks will only make us stronger together.

I look forward to speaking with you and ask for your support to be your representative on PA Democratic State Committee. Please feel free to contact me with any questions in the meantime.
