In March both the Board of Supervisors and the TE School Board passed resolutions unanimously calling for Gun Safety Measures to protect the citizens of Tredyffrin and the school children of TE. The Easttown Board of Supervisors has not passed a gun safety resolution.
Tredyffrin Board of Supervisors
The action part of resolution 2018-09 passed by the Tredyffrin Board of Supervisors. 
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Tredyffrin Township Board of Supervisors, in furtherance of the public safety and health of the citizens of Tredyffrin Township, urges the Pennsylvania General Assembly and the United States Congress to enact commonsense gun safety laws to reduce gun violence, laws such as: requiring universal background checks; banning assault weapons, bump stocks, and high capacity magazines; providing funding for school building safety to improve existing school safety measures, providing increased funding for school provided student emotional support; those addressing ownership of firearms by the mentally ill; and, providing funding for research into gun violence and gun safety.

BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE TREDYFFRIN/EASTTOWN SCHOOL DISTRICT

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of School Directors of the
Tredyffrin/Easttown School District opposes any legislation that would mandate arming
educators or staff in our District and calls upon state and federal legislators to enact
comprehensive, multifaceted legislation that: (1) is designed to address the problem of school shootings; (2) allocates all necessary and recurring funds to schools to support the enhancement of safety and security measures deemed necessary by local school districts; and (3) provides a state and federally funded comprehensive network of proactive supports to address individual student needs.
