Tredyffrin Republicans Spread Misinformation on EIT
Yesterday many households received a mailer that said Tredyffrin Democrats had started the process to create an earned income tax (EIT). THIS IS TOTALLY UNTRUE! You can see both sides of the mailer sponsored by the Tredyffrin Township Republican Committee by clicking the links below:
Additionally, all Democratic Supervisor and School Board candidates have said that they are personally opposed to the EIT (as have Republicans – you can watch the recent candidate forums here and also read coverage in Main Line Suburban Life and the T/E Patch), but did not want to undermine the work of the citizen committee studying the issue.
We have such great candidates this year that it would be a real shame if an outrageous lie keeps them from winning. If you are appalled, help us inform community about the truth of this matter by:
1) Spreading the truth about this ugly rumor to your friends and neighbors via email and Facebook,
2) commenting on Pattye Benson’s blog, Community Matters, where she’s written a post about this issue. This blog strives to be a civil forum about issues in our area, and is a great resource for finding out what’s really going on in the township.
3) Write a comment on the Tredyffrin-Easttown Patch website.
If you care about our schools and our community, help us show the TTGOP that this kind of dirty politics is unacceptable in Tredyffrin and will backfire!
