Hello Democrats and fellow Yes-People!
Across Tredyffrin, Chester County, and all of Pennsylvania, you answered the call to Vote YES — YES for fairness, YES for integrity, and YES for the judges who protect our rights and our democracy. And you delivered.
In 2006, Tredyffrin elected its first Democrat to the Board of Supervisors. This year, one of our candidates earned 70% of the vote — a record-shattering milestone that shows how far we’ve come together. We’re celebrating history and rolling up our sleeves, because good government doesn’t rest the morning after.

Now for the results:
Pennsylvania Says YES to Fair and Independent Judges

Pennsylvanians once again stood up for justice, integrity, and balance by voting YES to retain all three Democratic justices on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court:
- Christine Donohue
- Kevin Dougherty
- David Wecht
These justices have been steadfast defenders of democracy, reproductive rights, and the rule of law. Their retention ensures that Pennsylvania’s highest court remains a firewall for fairness, and voters made that message loud and clear.

In addition to our Supreme Court, voters also retained:
- Judge Alice Beck Dubow, Superior Court
- Judge Michael Wojcik, Commonwealth Court
Once again, the power of YES carried the day.
Neuman and Tsai Expand Democratic Margins on PA Appellate Courts

Democratic momentum continued down the ballot as:
- Judge Brandon Neuman won an open seat on the Superior Court, and
- Judge Stella Tsai was elected to the Commonwealth Court.
These victories secure Democratic majorities across Pennsylvania’s appellate courts for the next decade, reinforcing our commitment to justice that serves everyone, not special interests.
Smith and Cauley Continue the Democratic Sweep of the Court of Common Pleas

Judge Mackenzie Smith and Clay Cauley carried forward the Democratic march toward progress and fairness after winning both open seats on the Chester County Court of Common Pleas! Judge Smith confirms Governor Josh Shapiro’s confidence by winning a full term after her January appointment, while Cauley brings fresh energy and dedication to a bench that now reflects the people it serves.
Voters Affirm Democratic Leadership Across Chester County

Democrats once again swept the Chester County row offices, reaffirming that voters trust Democratic leadership to deliver competence, compassion, and results. These victories ensure that Chester County remains a model of good governance and fiscal responsibility.
Re-Elected:
- Patricia Maisano, County Treasurer
- Sophia Garcia-Jackson, County Coroner
Newly Elected:
- Nick Cherubino, County Controller
- Caroline Bradley, Clerk of Courts
- Alex Christy, Prothonotary (Unexpired Term)
Each of these officials represents the very best of Chester County: hardworking public servants who put people first, protect taxpayer dollars, and strengthen transparency in county government.
Dems Go from Cracking the Wall to Building a New Foundation in Tredyffrin
In 2006, Democrats won their first-ever seat on any elected board in Tredyffrin Township (Supervisor or School Board) breaking nearly 150 years of Republican control. Nearly twenty years later, that old wall of dominance is obliterated, replaced by a Democratic foundation built on trust, progress, and results. This year, voters reaffirmed that trust with record-breaking margins:
Tredyffrin-Easttown School Board

- Nicole Scherer (Region 1) achieved 67% support
- Robert Singh (Region 2) was re-elected with 66%.
- MaryAnn Piccioni was re-elected & Julie Mesaros (Region 3) completed a Democratic sweep.
Tredyffrin Township Government

-
Hans van Mol & David Miller, Supervisors At-Large, combined for 67%.
-
Eamon Brazunas, 2nd District Supervisor, shattered records with a historic 70%.
What began as a few chinks in the armor has become a new foundation: strong, steady, and community-driven.
A Reflection on the Road Here
I’ve been with the TTDems since 2014 and have chaired this organization since 2021. I remember when we were the underdogs — when a good night meant cracking 40%, when we’d wear through our shoes chasing a few more doors, and when winning a single precinct by two votes felt like a triumph.
Those were the years we learned what persistence looks like. Every yard sign, every conversation, every “maybe next time” built toward this moment.
And while others still dust off their old attack lines and try to resurrect the fearmongering of the past, we’ve simply kept doing the work. They think about us; we think about Tredyffrin.
We’re not focused on reliving old battles. We’re focused on governing with fairness, listening to our neighbors, and delivering for the people who call this community home. The future of Tredyffrin isn’t about partisanship: it’s about partnership. Together, we’ve shown what happens when people believe in each other and stay the course.
With gratitude and pride,
Hans van Mol
Chairman, Tredyffrin Township Democrats
