Philadelphia’s District Attorney Endorses Sondergaard

Analisa Sondergaard, District Judge candidateAnalisa Sondergaard, Democratic nominee for Magisterial District Judge in Tredyffrin, has picked up a very significant endorsement from Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams.  Below is the text of the official September 23rd announcement.

PHILADELPHIA DISTRICT ATTORNEY ENDORSES ANALISA SONDERGAARD FOR JUDGE

(Tredyffrin Twp., PA) – Seth Williams, one of the region’s most high profile and respected attorneys, today announced his endorsement of Analisa Sondergaard in her campaign for District Judge in Tredyffrin Township.

District Attorney Seth Williams“I have had the opportunity to work with hundreds of dedicated prosecutors over the years, and Analisa stands out among them as someone who knows the law and takes very seriously her role to seek justice,” said Williams.  “Her years as a prosecutor, as well as her expertise working as a civil litigation attorney, mean that she possesses the kind of knowledge of the law, wisdom and fairness that we need from our judges.  I am proud to endorse her for District Judge.”

“I have been impressed by the commitment to public service shown by both Analisa and her husband, Christian over the years,” Williams added.

Williams served with Sondergaard when they were both Assistant District Attorneys in Philadelphia.

Williams currently serves as the Philadelphia District Attorney, and has been broadly credited for his efforts to prosecute crime in the city by reforming the criminal justice system.  Beyond the courtroom, Williams has actively worked to improve community engagement efforts by his office in Philadelphia, opening community centers, deploying his staff across the city and conducting community meetings, all with the goal of bringing the community together to improve public safety and fight crime.

“I am very proud to have District Attorney Willams’ endorsement,” said Sondergaard.  “I am running for this office because I believe this community deserves a judge who understands the values and priorities we share, as well as someone with the legal knowledge and experience necessary to provide fair rulings for those who live here.”

Sondergaard is the Democratic nominee for Magisterial District Judge in Tredyffrin Township, and will bring her 17 years of practical experience to the bench.  After graduation from Temple University School of Law she served as a prosecutor with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office for seven years.  She has been in private practice since 2002 and currently works at McDonnell & Associates in King of Prussia.  Analisa lives with her husband and two sons in Tredyffrin Township.
