Report On May Election Problems Finally Made Public
A report by Chester County Voter Services has finally been released that identifies the source of electronic vote counting problems in the May 17, 2011 Primary Election – an extra dark blue “color bar” printed on Republican ballots . The counting glitch caused confusion over a Special Election to fill a Tredyffrin Board of Supervisors seat, as Democrat Molly Duffy appeared to be the early victor but a recount eventually revealed that opponent Mike Heaberg had won by a two vote margin.
Changes to November Slate of Candidates
On June 22, the Tredyffrin Township Democratic Committee endorsed F. Michael “Murph” Wysocki to fill the role of candidate for At-Large Supervisor in the November election, after candidate Ernie Falcone had to bow out for personal reasons. Wysocki (left) will join Molly Duffy to contest the two open At-Large Supervisor seats.
In addition, John Cameron (right), who received 943 write-in ballots in the May primary, will run as candidate for Township Auditor.

Teacher Pay Agreement, Kudos to Karen Cruickshank
School Board President Karen Cruickshank expressed her gratitude to the Tredyffrin-Easttown Education Association (TEEA) for their offer of a 6-month pay waiver for the first half of the 2011-12 school year. The agreement freezes all compensation at 2010-11 levels and helps close next year’s $3 million budget gap. Speaking about negotiations, teacher union president Pete DePiano said, “Karen was the glue, she was the key to all this.” Read more on the pay agreement and Karen’s bi-partisan support for re-election to the school board.
Setting Record Straight on Blog Citation
TTDems recently helped candidate Molly Duffy and her campaign committee with the preparation of a campaign postcard mailed to residents.
Community Matters blogger Pattye Benson took issue with using her blog as the source for a quote from Molly’s opponent. On her blog Ms. Benson has written harsh commentary, implying our candidate’s campaign information was incorrect and misused material.

Sorry for the tedium, but we want TTDem supporters assured there was no unfairness or trickery in Molly Duffy’s campaign efforts.
Molly Duffy Endorsed For Supervisor in Tredyffrin’s May 17 Special Election
“I would like to serve on the Board of Supervisors because I care deeply about the future of Tredyffrin and would like to help realize the community vision. I will work hard for greatest efficiency in township services, stable funding for public safety, and revitalizing business development,” said Molly Duffy in receiving the unanimous endorsement of the TTDem committee.
